International Klein Blue

Hola!

Hello!

Yes, I know, I’ve been away for a while but I really have so many things to do which, unfortunately, are more important than the blog.

Today I want to talk about the history of a colour. To be more precise about the KLEIN BLUE. Some of you maybe already know it; some could have guessed it and for some I’m sure you’ve never think about it. Do you know why this type of blue is called like that? And no, it’s not because of Calvin Klein…

Its creator was the French painter Yves Klein. This painter focused on painting monochromatic pictures already in the first years of his career. However, by the 50s he mostly used an intense blue to paint. He created this blue together with a chemist friend of his. He registered the colour with the name of International Klein Blue (commonly known as just Klein Blue).

His painting techniques were also pretty rare. Yves Klein had practiced judo. Klein covered his female models with this blue and the, using this martial art, he threw them against the canvas thus portraying the female body in a very special way.

Nowadays this colour is present in many collections and catwalks, and in a wide range of hues. It is a colour that never becomes démodé and that is has become a trend again this year.

Fast Fashion

We're plenty of Fashion Weeks, so I think it's better to take a break and pay attention to other things.

Today, I want to talk about something that might sound unknown for many of you. Though, I 'm sure that you'll realise what I'm refering to after reading the post.

Fast Fashion is a term used to refer to those trendiest collections that can be seen in catwalks both in the S/S and the F/W seasons.
They are cheap designed and quick manufactured trends, thus consumers have access to the most current fashion but with an affordable price. Big firms get an invoicing increase, with a quickier and more continuous production. In general, they are compact collections, moved away once the next collection appears.

ZARA, H&M or Topshop are examples of brands which spread a ''fast fashion''.
