Este año, los ángeles de Victoria's Secret se quedan en el Paraíso

Así es. Todo apunta a que este año, el famosísimo desfile de lencería de Victoria's Secret se cancela. El bombazo lo ha soltado uno de los ángeles de la firma, Shanina Shaik @shaninamshaik, que ha asegurado que este año no disfrutaremos de uno de los eventos de moda más esperado año tras año.

Oh, yes. It seems that this year, the insanely famous lingerie fashion show of Victoria's Secret is cancelled. The big news came from one of the angels of the brand, Shanina Shaik @shaninamshaik, who has declared that we will not longer enjoy one of the most expected fashion shows year after year.

Lo más curioso de todo esto es que la noticia no ha sorprendido a casi nadie. Que Victoria's Secret no está pasando por su mejor momento no es ningún secreto. En el 2018, la firma llegó a alcanzar un 50% menos de su valor. A esto hay que añadirle el cierre de hasta 53 tiendas este año y un mínimo histórico en el precio de sus prendas. Por si esto fuera poco, la emisión del desfile, que llegó a alcanzar los 10 millones de espectadores, el pasado año a duras penas superó los 3 millones.

The most curious fact of all this is that nobody seemed to be surprised about it. Everybody knows that Victoria's Secret is going through a rough time. In 2018, the brand reached a 50% less of its value. This year, about 53 stores have been closed and the prizes of the pieces are at a historical minimum. Besides, the broadcast of the show, which had reached an audience of more than 10 million people, last year it barely exceeded 3 million people.

La noticia se esperaba desde que, a principios de año, se anunciara la no emisión del desfile por televisión. 22 años viendo desfilar cuerpos esculturales (y todo sea dicho, prácticamente imposibles de alcanzar) que se acaban por lo que es, seguramente, un cúmulo de malas decisiones y de una visión retrógrada y machista de la marca.

Everyone expected the bad news since, at the beginning of the year, the brand announced that the show will not be broadcast on TV. So this is how 22 years of watching sculptural bodies (and truth be told, almost impossible to reach) end thanks to what has probable been a bunch of bad decisions and an old-fashioned and sexist vision of the brand.

Parece que Victoria's Secret no ha sabido evolucionar y adecuarse a la demanda actual. La gente está cansada de ver sobre la pasarela cuerpos con los que no puede identificarse. El público busca una diversidad que VS no ha sabido mostrar. Esto ha hecho que la imagen de la firma lleve mucho tiempo dañada, y las declaraciones del anterior CEO de no incluir modelos transgénero o de talla grande en los desfiles tampoco ha ayudado. Victoria's Secret ha seguido sexualizando el cuerpo de la mujer y esto, en plena revolución feminista, no es una decisión muy inteligente.

It seems that Victoria's Secret hasn't known how to evolve either adapt to the current demand. People are tired of watching on the runway bodies that they can not relate to. The audience is looking for diversity, and VS wasn't able to deliver it. This has caused a great impact on the image of the brand. Besides, the declarations of the former CEO about denying the inclusion of transgendered and big-sized women on the show didn't help either. Victoria's Secret has kept on sexualizing the woman body, which is not a really smart decision  now that we are in the middle of the feminist revolution.

La firma tampoco ha estado exenta de polémicas. Muchas han sido las modelos que han declarado sentirse muy presionadas por la propia marca para tener un cuerpo 10. Durísimos entrenamientos y estrictas dietas que han obligado a algunos de sus ángeles a renunciar a sus alas, como ha sido el caso de Gisele Bündchen @gisele o Adriana Lima @adrianalima.

Controversy has been also surrounding the brand over the past few years. There were many models who have declared feeling under a lot of pression by VS in order to have the perfect body. Really tough work outs and insane diets who have forced some of the angels to say good bye to their beautiful wings, such as Gisele Bündchen @gisele or Adriana Lima @adrianalima.

Victoria's Secret todavía no ha confirmado ni desmentido la noticia. Solo cabe esperar y ver cómo se van desarollando los acontecimientos.

Poco os puedo decir de Victoria's Secret que no os haya contado ya en anteriores posts. Este año, los ángeles de la famosa firma de lencería han vuelto a desplegar sus alas en Nueva York. Más de 50 cuerpos esculturales han bajado del cielo durante unos minutos para hacernos soñar un poquito con uno de los desfiles más esperado del año.

There's not much that I can tell you about Victoria's Secret that hasn't been said before in this blog. This year, the angels of the famous lingerie brand have spread their wings at their hometown, New York. More than 50 sculptural bodies have fallen from heaven for a short period of time to make us dream with one of the most expected shows of the year.

El desfile ya se ha grabado, y se retransmitirá oficialmente el 2 de diciembre en Estados Unidos a las 22:00 a través de ABC Network. El año pasado en España fue DKISS la encargada de retransmitirlo simultáneamente a la emisión estadounidense y aunque todavía no se sabe nada, no se descarta que este año vuelvan a hacer lo mismo.

The show's already been recorded and it'll be officially broadcasted in the US on 2nd December at 22:00 via ABC Network. Last year in Spain it was DKISS that broadcasted the show simultaneously with the American one and, though nothing has been already confirmed, maybe they'll do the dame this year.

Probablemente lo más significativo del VSFS de este año sea la despedida de Adriana Lima, la cual no pudo contener las lágrimas al saber que ese sería su último desfile para la marca. La top model de 37 años, y que lleva 19 años trabajando para VS, dice adiós después de que el año pasado, su compañera y amiga Alessandra Ambrossio también decidiese colgar las alas definitivamente. Fue una despedida muy emotiva, con un vídeo recopilación de sus mejores momentos en los que VS le agradecía todo lo que había hecho por la marca, considerándola la mejor ángel de la historia, y desfilando en solitario. Hay un poco de controversia a cerca de los motivos que han empujado a Adriana Lima a tomar esta decisión, pero lo que sí que es cierto es que uno de los cuerpos y caras más representativos de Victoria's Secret va a dejar un huevo muy difícil de llenar.

It's likely that the most significant moment of the VSFS '18 is Adriana Lima's farewell, who couldn't stop crying just knowing that she won't be an angel anymore for VS. The 37-year-old top model says good bye to the brand after 19 years working with them, just one year later after Alessandra Ambrossio, her colleague and friend, also decided to stop ''flying'' with VS. It was a very emotional farewell, as VS prepared a video with her most significant moments thanking her for everything she'd done for the brand and considering her as the best angel of the history, and she also got to catwalk on her own. There's a little controversy about the exact reasons that led Adriana to take this decision, but what it's true is that one of the most representative faces and bodies of Victoria's Secret is leaving a hole that'll be very difficult to fill in.

También ha habido un poco de controversia con las últimas declaraciones del Director de Marketing de VS, Ed Razek, que afirmó que, por motivos comerciales, no elegirían a una mujer transgénero para  lucir los diseños de la marca en sus desfiles. En los últimos años, hemos podido ver como VS ha ido incluyendo a mujeres muy diversas en sus desfiles. De hecho, este año ha desfilado por primera vez Winnie Harlow, la top model con vitíligo que saltó a la fama concursando en America's Next Top Model y es imagen de la firma española Desigual y de la que ya he hablado también en este blog (AQUÍ). Por lo visto, Razek ha acabado retractándose de sus palabras y ha dicho que no tendría problemas en elegir a mujeres transgénero para desfilar para Victoria's Secret. Veremos qué pasa.

There's also a little controversy with the last declarations of Ed Razek, the Marketing Director of VS, He stated that, due to commercial reasons, a transgendered woman won't ever be chosen to represent the designs of the brand on the runway. Through the last years, we've seen how VS has been including very diverse women within the shows. In fact, this is the first year that we've seen Winnie Harlow on the show. I've already told you about her in this blog (HERE) but, if you don't remember her, she's a top model with vitiligo. She became famous after participating in America's Next Top Model and she's one of the most recognizable faces of the Spanish brand Desigual. It seems that Razek finally admitted that he was mistaken with his declarations and that they're open to include transgendered women on the show. Let's see what happens...

Una parte importante de este espectáculo son los artistas invitados a cantar mientras las modelos desfilan. Estamos acostumbrados a ver a unos tres artistas por show, pero este año ha sido el más multitudinario de todos, con un total de 7 artistas: Rita Ora, Halsey, The Chainsmokers, Shawn Mendes, Kelsea Ballerini, Bebe Rexha y  The Struts.

Something that also makes the show so special is the artists that are invited to performed while the models are on the runway. Usually, there're three artist per show, but this year we could see up to seven artists: Rita Ora, Halsey, The Chainsmokers, Shawn Mendes, Kelsea Ballerini, Bebe Rexha and The Struts.

Más cositas curiosas han sido, por ejemplo, la vuelta de Behati Prinsloo a la pasarela, después de 2 años sin desfilar para VS por cuestiones de maternidad.

Another significant moment was. for instance, the come back of Behati Prinsloo to the runway. She was away from the sow for 2 years due to her two consecutive pregnancies.

Elsa Hosk ha sido la elegida este año para lucir el Fantasy Bra, que este año lleva el nombre de Dream Angels Fantasy Bra y tiene un precio de 900.000€. Elsa lleva trabajando para VS desde el 2011 y recibió el título oficial de Ángel en el 2015 cuando lució por primera vez las alas encima de la pasarela.

The angel who was chosen to wear the Fantasy Bra this year has been Elsa Hosk. The name of the bra is Dream Angels Fantasy Bra and it has a price of 1 million dollars. Elsa's been working for VS since 2011 and she was proclaimed as an official angel in 2015 after wearing the wings for the first time.

Por supuesto, no han faltado ángeles consagrados como Taylor Hill (que abrió el desfile), Romee Strijd, Stella Maxwell, Sara Sampaio, Josephine Skriver (la elegida para lucir el Fantasy Bra el pasado año), y Candice Swanepoel (que ha lucido tipazo solo cuatro meses de haber dado a luz a su segundo hijo). No podían faltar tampoco Kendall Jenner ni tampoco las hermanas Hadid, Gigi y Bella (Gigi no pudo desfilar el año pasado en China porque le habían denegado el visado).

Of course, we could enjoy the presence of angels such as Taylor Hill (who opened the show), Romee Strijd, Stella Maxwell, Sara Sampaio, Josephine Skriver (who wore the Fantasy Bra last year), and Candice Swanepoel (who surprised everyone with her amazing figure after giving birth to her second child just four months ago). We also could see on the runway Kendall Jenner and the Hadid sisters, Gigi and Bella (Gigi couldn't go to China last years as she had troubles with her visa).

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show '17 | From Heaven to Shanghai

Victoria's Secret nos ha ido dejando ver poco a poco cómo el show de este año iba cogiendo forma, desde el proceso de selección de las modelos, el montaje del escenario, el fitting... Pero la espera ya ha acabado!

Victoria's Secret has been telling us little by little how they've shaped this year's show, from the process of choosing the models, the assembly of the stage, the fitting... But we don't have to wait any longer!

Este año el desfile tiene lugar por primera vez en el continente asiático, en Shanghái, para ser más exactos, celebrando así la apertura de su primera tienda insignia en dicha ciudad (aunque ya contaba con cinco puntos de venta) en el centro comercial Lippo Plaza. Si seguís las RRSS de Victoria's Secret, habréis sido testigos del revuelo que montaron. Cuatro fueron las modelos elegidas para representar a la marca el día de la inauguración: Alessandra Ambrosio (una de los ángeles más veteranos), Josephine Skriver (una de las últimas incorporaciones), y Sui He y Ming Xi, dos de las modelos asiáticas de Victoria's Secret.

The Asian continent will witness this year and for the first time this massive show. Shanghai is the chosen city, thus celebrating the opening of its first flagship store at the beginning of this year at the Lippo Plaza (there were already 5 selling points). If you follow Victoria's Secret on its social networks, you would had seen the party they made. Four models were sent to celebrate the opening of the store: Alessandra Ambrosio (one of the most veteran angels), Josephine Skriver (one of the latest angels), and Sui He and Ming Xi, two of the Asian angels of Victoria's Secret.

Este año volveremos a ver sobre la pasarela del VSFS a Candice Swanepoel, una de las grandes faltas del año pasado debido a su maternidad, y a Karlie Kloss, que por otros compromisos profesionales se había visto obligada a apartarse un tiempo de VS.
This year we'll see again on the runway two former VSFS: Candice Swanepoel, who last year couldn't attend the show because of her maternity, and Karlie Kloss, who left VS for a while due to other professional commitments. 

También sabemos quién lucirá el deseado Fantasy Bra. Será la top brasileña Lais Ribeiro, que lleva trabajando para VS desde el 2010, recibiendo por primera vez las alas que la convertirían en ángel oficial en 2015. El ''Champagne Nights Fantasy Bra'', compuesto por zafiros, topacios y diamantes, está valorado en nada más y nada menos que 1,7 millones de dólares.
We also know who's the lucky angel wearing the Fantasy Bra. It'll be the Brasilian top model Lais Ribeiro, who's been working for VS since 2010, receiving the wings that turned her into an official angel in 2015. The ''Champagne Nights Fantasy Bra'', made of sapphires, topazs and diamonds, costs more or less 1.7 million dollars.

El desfile tendrá lugar el próximo lunes 20 de noviembre y será el 28 cuando se emita grabado y editado. Este año cabe destacar la colaboración de BALMAIN con algunos de los diseños para el desfile, ya que esta será la primera vez que VS colabore con una gran firma de moda.
The show will take place next Monday, 20th November, and it'll be broadcasted, recorded and edited, on the 28th. This year it must be highlighted the collaboration with BALMAIN and some of its desgins for the show, as this is the first time that VS collaborates with a big fashion brand.

Después de muchos rumores sobre quién actuará este año (entre ellos el de que Katy Perry y Taylor Swift podrían compartir escenario) parece que los artistas que acompañarán a las modelos serán finalmente Katy Perry (que repite), Harry Styles y Miguel. 
After all the rumors about the artists performing this year (some of them pointed out that Katy Perry and Taylor Swift could share the stage), it seems that the ones accompanying the models will finally be Katy Perry (this wil be her second time), Harry Styles and Miguel.

Keeping Up With The Hadids!

No hay nada que no hagan estas dos hermanas de raíces palestino-holandesas. Hijas de la ex-modelo y actual actriz holandesa Yolanda van den Herik y del promotor inmobiliario palestino Mohamed Hadid, no existe pasarela, anuncio o portada de revista que se les escape. Como buenas millennials, dominan las redes sociales a la perfección y, aunque son muy distintas, no pueden vivir la una sin la otra. Este no es un post para ver cuál de las dos es más guapa o más famosa, sino para que lo flipéis un poquito con todo lo que han hecho y aún no han llegado a los 25! (Algo mal debo de estar haciendo con mi vida...)

Gigi (Jelena Noura Hadid) es un año mayor que Bella. Nació en 1995 y empezó con tan solo 2 años en la moda haciendo una campaña para Baby Guess, aunque lo dejó para continuar con los estudios y no fue hasta 2014 que debutó en la New York Fashion Week con un par de outfits para Desigual. En 2015 desfila por primera vez en el Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, consiguiendo su primer par de alas en el 2016, mismo año en el que lanza su primera colección cápsula para Tommy Hilfiger bajo el nombre de "TommyxGigi".

Para Gigi han sido tres años llenos de éxitos en los que ha conseguido, entre otras cosas, convertirse en embajadora de Tommy y de Reebok en su campaña #PerfectNever. Ha lanzado una colección de botas para Stuart Weitzman con el nombre de "Gigi Boot". En 2016 abrió 5 desfiles y cerró 7 entre las pasarelas de Nueva York, París y Milán. Ha aparecido en las portadas de las mejores revistas internacionales, es la imagen de algunas marcas de cosméticos, y a estas alturas ya ha desfilado para Versace, Chanel, Elie Saab, Fendi y Marc Jacobs, entre muchos otros.

Pero lo de Gigi trasciende los límites de cualquier pasarela. Ha aparecido en vídeos musicales, como Bad Blood de Taylor Swift, How Deep Is Your Love de Calvin Harris, o Pillowtalk de Zayn. En televisión se la ha podido ver en programas como Masterchef Celebrity Showdown o Lip Sync Battle, además de haber sido anfitriona de los iHeartRadio Music Awards y los AMAs de 2016. En 2016 también ganó un TRL Award en la categoría de Best Look y también el premio International Model of the Year en los British Fashion Awards, presentados por Donatella Versace.

Y si el 2016 parece haber sido el año de Gigi, en 2017 el centro de atención de todas las miradas parecen haber recaído en su hermana Bella. Sus apariciones en las distintas alfombras rojas han dado mucho de qué hablar, tanto por sus cambios de look como por los modelitos que ha lucido. Si bien es cierto que Bella da la sensación de ser un poco más fría que Gigi delante de las cámaras, sus outfits demuestran lo contrario. Le encanta lucir tipazo y es muy sensual, aunque a veces no deje mucho lugar a la imaginación...

Bella (Isabella Khair Hadid, 1996) empezó en la moda en 2012, con 16 años, y tampoco ha perdido el tiempo. También hizo su debut en la New York Fashion Week en el 2014 para Desigual, y a día de hoy ha trabajado para grandes marcas como Givenchy, Chanel, Carolina Herrera, Ralph Lauren, Oscar de la Renta, Fendi o Moschino, entre otras. Desfiló por primera vez como ángel de Victoria's Secret el pasado año y ha abierto y cerrado un buen número de desfiles.

También ha hecho sus pinitos fuera de las pasarelas, como el vídeo musical In the Night, de The Weeknd, y ha ganado varios premios, entre los que se encuentran el Model of the Year de 2016 en los Second Annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards, Model of the Year de 2016 en los GQ Men of the Year Awards y, también en 2016, el Model of the Year: Women (Industry's Choice) en los Models.com Industry Awards.

Está claro que las hermanas Hadid saben apañárselas bien ellas solas y, aunque las dos hayan mostrado interés en otras facetas que no tienen que ver con las de modelo, seguro que aún nos queda mucho por ver de ellas delante de las cámaras.

There's nothing that these two sister with Palestinian and Dutch roots can't do. Their mother is the former Dutch model and current actress Yolanda van der Herik and their father is the Palestinian American real-state developer Mohamed Hadid. Runways, commercials or shootings, their good at everything. They also kill it at the social networks (it couldn't be the other way belonging to the millennial generation). They're very different but they can't live without the other. This post isn't about choosing the most famous or the most beautiful. I just want you to freak out a little bit by seeing what they've already achieved, and they aren't even 25 yet! (I must be doing something wrong with my life...)

Gigi (Jelena Noura Hadid) is one year older than Bella. She was born in 1995 and she started in fashion when she was just 2 in a campaign for Baby Guess, but she dropped it to continue with school. Her debut was at the New York Fashion Week with a couple of outfits for Desigual in 2014. In 2015 she appeared for the first time at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, winning her wings in 2016, th same year in which she launches her first capsule collection for Tommy Hilfiger called "TommyxGigi".

Gigi's achieved plenty of successes within theses three years. She's become brand ambassador of Tommy and Reebok for the #PerfectNever campaign. She's launched a boot collection for Stuart Weitzman called "Gigi Boot". She opened 5 shows and closed 7 among New York, Milan and Paris in 2016. She's also on the cover of the best international magazines and she's the image of several cosmetic brands, apart from working for Versace, Chanel, Elie Saab, Fendi y Marc Jacobs, among many others.

But the runways seem to be a small place for Gigi. She's appeared in several music videos, such as Taylor Swift's Bad Blood, Calvin Harris' How Deep Is Your Love and Zayn's Pillowtalk. On TV she's appeared in Masterchef Celebrity Showdown and Lip Sync Battle. She's hosted in 2016 the iHeartRadio Music Awards and the AMAs. Last year she also won a TRL Award within the Best Look category and the International Model of the Year award at the British Fashion Awards, hosted by Donatella Versace.

It seems that 2016 was a great year for Gigi, but it looks like 2017 it's gonna be Bella's moment. Her appearances at different red carpets have been of big discussion, both because of her looks and her outfits. It's true that Bella seems to be a little bit colder than her sister in front of the cameras, but her dress choices show something completely different. She loves showing off her great physique and she's tremendously sensual, though sometimes there's not enough room for our imagination...

It's obvious that the Hadids are two strong independent women that know how to take care of themselves. Though both have shown interests beyond modeling, I'm sure we'll see a lot more from them in front of the camera.

Ahora le llega el turno a la modelo mejor pagada del mundo. La verdad es que no tenía pensado dedicar la segunda entrada de esta sección a la modelo brasileña, hasta que hace poco leí una noticia que afecta a su carrera profesional.

No es nada de lo que preocuparse, seguiremos disfrutando de su 180 cm de estatura, su melena rubia y sus ojazos azules. La noticia a la que me refiero y la cual probablemente ya habréis oído, es que Gisele (@giseleofficial) abandona las pasarelas, pero seguirá siendo imagen de campañas y eventos. Después de 20 años desfilando, la Sao Paulo Fashion Week que tendrá lugar este mes en Brasil será testigo de los últimos desfiles de la modelo. 

Esta supermodelo, de raíces alemanas, tiene cinco hermanas más, una de ellas su gemela. Fue descubierta con trece años por un agente de modelos cuando se encontraba en un McDonalds. Tras varios desfiles en Brasil, Gisele se mudó a Nueva York donde debutó en la New York Fashion Week. A pesar de ser criticada por su nariz, la ex ángel de Victoria's Secret ha sido considerada como la modelo mejor pagada del mundo, llegando a cobrar entre 7.000 y 15.000 dólares por hora de aparición en algún evento. Además de desfilar y posar para las mejores marcas y de ser portada de numerosas revistas de moda, también ha hecho sus pinitos en el mundo del cine, como el papel secundario en la comedia Taxi y un par de apariciones en El Diablo Viste de Prada. Gisele ha sido nombrada como Modelo del Año por la revista Rolling Stone; Vogue ha llegado a considerarla como un punto de inflexión entre la delgadez de modelos como Kate Moss y el resurgir de las modelos con curvas y US Weekly le otorgó en su momento el título de busto perfecto.

La top model, casada con el jugador de fútbol americano Tom Brady y madre de dos niños, Benjamin de 6 años, y Vivian Lake de 3, ha decidido que ya es hora de disfrutar más de la familia. Desde luego, puede estar bien orgullosa de todo lo que ha logrado, y de que esta retirada que ha decidido tomar es más que merecida.

Now it's the turn for the best paid model all over the world. The truth is I haven't planned to write this second post of this section to the Brazilian model, but a recent piece of news about her professional career made me change my mind.

There's nothing to be worried about, we'll keep on enjoying her 180 cm of height, her blonde long hair and her beautiful blue eyes. The piece of news I was referring too and the one you probably already know is that Gisele (@giseleofficial) is leaving the runway, but she'll be still the face of events and campaings. After 20 years doing catwalks, the Sao Paulo Fashion Week that's taking place this month in Brazil will witness the last steps over a runway of the model.

This supermodel of German roots has five more sisters, one of them being her twin. She was discovered when she was 13 by a model agent when she was at a McDonalds. After several catwalks in Brazil, Gisele moved to New York when she debuted at the New York Fashion Week. Despite the criticisms about her nose, the ex Victoria's Secret angel has been considered as the best paid model in the world, receiving about 7,000 and 15,000 dollars just for one hour of appearance at an event. Apart from catwalking and posing for the best brands and being the cover of loads of fashion mags, she's also appeared in some movies, as the secondary role she had at the comedy Taxi, and a couple of appearances in Devil Wears Prada. Gisele's been named as Model of the Year by Rolling Stone mag. Vogue has considered her as an inflection point between the skinniness of models such as Kate Moss and the come back of models with curves, and US Weekly gave her the title of the perfect breast.

The top model, married with the American football player Tom Brady and mother of two kids, Benjamin (6) and Vivian Lake (3), has decided that it's time to start enjoying family more. She definitely can be very proud of everything she's accomplished and that this retirement she's decided to take is more than deserved.

Karlie & Doutzen | Two Less Angels at Victoria's Secret's Heaven

La fama de Karlie Kloss (3 de agosto de 1992, Chicago) ha crecido como la espuma en los últimos años y su caché se ha revalorizado sobremanera, llegando a convertirse en uno de los ángeles principales de uno de los shows más esperados del año, y ser imagen de numerosas campañas publicitarias (Lola de Marc Jacobs, Lacoste, Coco Noir de Chanel o Donna Karan, entre otras).

Karlie, que empezó desfilando para VS en el 2011 con tan solo 18 años, ha llegado a un acuerdo con la firma y no volverá a renovar contrato debido a su apretada agenda. Parece que no volveremos a ver a Karlie con alas (por el momento), pero seguro que la seguiremos viendo desfilar en numerosas pasarelas con esa forma de andar tan característica suya y ese par de piernas kilométricas, así como acaparando las portadas de las mejores publicaciones de moda como ha ido haciendo hasta ahora (Vogue, Elle, W o Harper's Bazaar...). La última, la que protagoniza junto a su mejor amiga, Taylor Swift, para Vogue USA.

Por otra parte, Doutzen Kroes (23 de enero de 1985, Países Bajos), que llevaba formando parte de la familia Victoria's Secret desde el 2005, siendo así una de las más veteranas de la casa, tampoco ha renovado contrato después de que éste finalizara en el 2014. Por lo visto, Doutzen pretende tomar otros caminos profesionales que no son compatibles con la agenda de VS, de esta forma, la agencia de Doutzen así como el equipo directivo de VS han llegado a un acuerdo y Doutzen ya es ''libre'' para emprender un nuevo camino, sin alas claro.

Doutzen, que también ha protagonizado numerosas portadas de revista e infinitas campañas publicitarias (Gucci, Versace, Valentino, Tiffany & Co., L'Oreal, Calvin Klein...) no descarta dedicarse al mundo de la actuación, debutando en la primera película holandesa en 3D, Reinout Oerlemans.

Karlie Kloss' (Chicago, August 3th 1992) fame has grown up as foam in the last years and her prestige has increased mahussively, thus becoming one of the main angels at one of the most expected fashion shows of the year, and image of a great number of advertising campaings (Marc Jacobs Lola, Lacoste, Chanel Coco Noir or Donna Karan, among others).

Karlie, who started in VS in 2011 with just 18 years, has reached an agreement with the firm and she's not renewing her contract due to her busy agenda. It seems we won't see Karlie with wings agains (for the time being), but it's sure we'll see her catwalking in many runways with her peculiar way of walking and her really long legs, and also at many mag covers as she's been doing until now (Vogue, Elle, W or Harper's Bazaar...). The last one is next to her BF Taylor Swift for Vogue US.



On the other hand, Doutzen Kroes (Netherlands, January 23th 1985), who's been part of the VS family since 2005, thus being one of the ''oldest'' at the firm, hasn't renewed as well her contract, which ended in 2014. As it seems, Doutzen want to take other professional routes which aren't compatible with VS agenda. So, Doutzen's agency and the directive team of VS has reached an agreement so she is ''free'' to start a new path, with no wings of course.

Douzen, who has also appeared at many mag covers e infinite adverstising campaings (Gucci, Versace, Valentino, Tiffany & Co., L'Oreal, Calvin Klein...) would like to become an actress, debuting in the first 3D movie of the Netherlands called Reinout Oerlemans.

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show '14

47 pares de piernas kilométricas, cuatro artistas internacionales, una nueva localización y miles de tweets, retweets, FAVs, likes, reposts y un sinfín de términos asociados a las redes sociales, que echaron humo la noche del desfile más esperado del año.

El Earls Court Exhibition Centre (Londres) fue el enclave elegido este año para celebrar el que es sin duda uno de los eventos del mundo de la moda con más repercusión a nivel internacional. Para amenizar la cita, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran y Hozier se encargaron de ponerle banda sonora a los desfiles. 

Pero sin duda, las auténticas protagonistas son las modelos: 9 ÁNGELES (sí, con mayúsculas) cuyos nombres ya todos conocen: Adriana Lima, Karlie Kloss, Candice Swanepoel, Alessandra Ambrosio, Lindsay Ellingson, Doutzen Kroes, Lily Aldridge, Behati Prinsloo y Erin Heatherton; y acompañándolas, el resto de bellezones, con caras nuevas como la top española Blanca Padilla. 
Los asistentes al show, dividido en seis secciones (Gilded Angels, University of Pink, Exotic Traveler, Fairy Tale, Dream Girl y Angel Ball), no dejaron de aplaudir, y es que el Victoria's Secret Fashion Show es un espectáculo digno de ver!

Como dato curioso, este año han sido dos las modelos encargadas de lucir el Fantasy Bra: Adriana Lima y Alessandra Ambrosio, ángeles consagrados de la firma con años de experiencia en los tacones.

47 pairs of never-ending legs, four international artists, a new setting and thousands of tweets, retweets, FAVs, likes, reposts and endless terms related to the social networks which remained unstoppable during the night of the most expected fashion show of the year. 

The Earls Court Exhibition Centre (London) was the chosen setting this year for celebrating one of the fashion events with a huge international impact. To make the appointment more pleasant, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran and Hozier were in charge of the runway soundtrack. 

Though, with no doubt, the main attraction are the models: 9 ANGELS (yes, in capitals), whose names are known by everyone: Adriana Lima, Karlie Kloss, Candice Swanepoel, Alessandra Ambrosio, Lindsay Ellingson, Doutzen Kroes, Lily Aldridge, Behati Prinsloo and Erin Heatherton; and with them, the rest of the beauties, with new faces such as the Spanish top Blanca Padilla.

The audience attending the show, divided in six different sections (Gilded Angels, University of Pink, Exotic Traveler, Fairy Tale, Dream Girl and Angel Ball), didn't stop applauding. It's undeniable that the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is something worth seeing!

Worth mentioning is that, this year, two models were responsible of wearing the Fantasy Bra: Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio, renowned angels of the brand with years of experience in their heels.
