ALALÁ | Crónica de una Joya Anunciada

¿Qué es ALALÁ? O mejor dicho…

What is ALALÁ? In other words… Who is ALALÁ? ALALÁare Álex and Alfredo, born and raised in Galicia but with a taste for fashion that transcends any frontier.
Their identity sign? Their dresses, with no doubt. All of them are a true jewel, cuddled since they are just a mere piece of fabric till they turn the fabric into a authentic piece of art.

ALALÁ has become the first Galician haute couture firm. They have decided to grow as professionals, that is why that, apart from their atelier in Santiago de Compostela, they inaugurated yesterday at Égova (Villalar Street 1, Madrid) their own space to show and sell they jewel-dresses. The spotlight of the event was the dress they made for Carmen Lomana. The dress is called Perseida and it is inspired in Perseus and Danaë. According to the myth, Perseus transformed himself into a meteor shower in order to be with his beloved, the same meteor shower that we can see in the dress that Álex and Alfredo made especially for Carmen.

I could be yesterday at the inauguration and thus accompanying Álex and Alfredo, good friends of mine that I admire because of the effort and dedication that they put into every creation.

Well known Spanish faces could be seen yesterday at the event. For instance Princess of Bulgaria Carla Royo-Villanova, patroness and muse of the artists. She was also showing her cosmetic line Carla Bulgaria Roses Beauty. The national artist Yurena, who is conquering the dance floors since almost two years ago and who has released a new single, ‘’On the dance floor’’. Also the ex-model Mar Flores was at Égova supporting ALALÁ in their new adventure.

Take a look at the pictures of the event and all the luck for ALALÁ, ‘cause they deserve it. And all of you who are in Madrid, don’t wait to visit Égova!

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

Every model dreams about becoming a VS Angel and thus wearing the wings that identifying them as true angels. However, the wings are not the only feature that turns this into event into such an important show. Every year, one of the angels is chosen to wear the ‘Fantasy Bra’, a piece of lingerie made entirely by jewels and which price is afforded by very few people.
