La semana pasada tuvo lugar la XXII edición de la 080 Barcelona Fashion, en la que han participado un total de 27 diseñadores y marcas, con algunos nombres nuevos, como es el caso de Killing Weekend y su colección ''Orígenes'', Xevi Fernández presentando ''Five Minuts Glory'' y Z1 con ''Negativity''.
The XXII edition of the 080 Barcelona Fashion, the Catalonian fashion week, took place last week. 27 designers and brands participated in this edition, in which we had some new faces, as it was the case of Killing Weekend with ''Orígenes'', Xevi Fernández with ''Five Minuts Glory'' and Z1 with ''Negativity''.
Esta edición se ha desarrollado de nuevo en el Recinto Modernista de Sant Pau, acogiendo en sus maravillosos exteriores el 080 Fashion Market y los stands de los más de 15 sponsors y colaboradores. Sobre la pasarela también había caras muy conocidas, como por ejemplo Joana Sanz, Juan Betancourt y Piero Méndez, pero también fuera de, como Rebeca de A Trendy Life, Natalia Cabezas de Trendy Taste o Jon Gómez.
The location for this last edition was once again the Recinto Modernista de Sant Pau, and its amazing outside embraced the 080 Fashion Market and the stands of more than 15 sponsors and collaborators. On the runway there were well-known faces such as Joana Sanz, Juan Betancourt and Piero Méndez, but also off the runway, such as Rebeca from A Trendy Life, Natalia Cabezas from Trendy Taste and Jon Gómez.

En esta edición, además de asistir al acto inaugural, también tuve la oportunidad de descubrir las propuestas para la próxima temporada primavera/verano 2019 de OSCARLEON, Lebor Gabala, Mans Concept Menswear, Krizia Robustella y Manuel Bolaño. In this edition, apart from attending the opening act, I also had the chance to discover the proposals for the next SS19 season of OSCARLEON, Lebor Gabala, Mans Concept Menswear, Krizia Robustella and Manuel Bolaño. (You can see all the pictures and videos of all the shows by clicking HERE)
Bajo el nombre de ''Simply Life'', OSCARLEON nos mostraba una colección muy íntima y personal, en la que destacaban las camisetas con frases llenas de significado que ponen de manifiesto lo vulnerable que puede llegar a ser el ser humano. Una colección en la que predominaba el negro y el blanco, y a la que en ocasiones el color rojo aportaba un poco de color.
Under the name of ''Simply Life'', OSCARLEON showed us a very intimate and personal collection, in which the main protagonists were the T-shirts with all those sentences full of meaning the let us see the vulnerability of the human being. The predominant colors were the black and the white, using the red sometimes to add a touch of color.

De ''Memorias'', de Lebor Gabala, me encantó la atemporalidad de las prendas de la colección, y sobre todo las americanas de corte masculino y la frescura de la toda la colección, tanto por los tejidos, los estampados y los colores. Es una colección muy actual pero con la memoria puesta en los años 80, lo que la hace aún más encantadora.
''Memorias'', by Lebor Gabala, is a collection full of timeless pieces. I loved the masculine-cut blazers and the freshness of the whole collection, in terms of fabrics, print and colors. It is actually a very modern collection, though the memory transports us to the 80s, making it even more lovely.

Tenía muchas ganas de ver la propuesta de Mans Concept Menswear. Tuve oportunidad de ver la última colección en la pasada edición y me flipó, además de que ganó el Premio Nacional de la Generalitat de Cataluña al Diseño Emergente, así que las expectativas era muy altas. Y no me decepcionó. ''Mans House'' nos traslada al Berlín de los años 90, después de la caída del muro, y de cómo los chicos de esa época exploraban una libertad recién adquirida, sobre todo a través de diferentes disciplinas artísticas. Looks duros y potentes, pero a la vez muy delicados.
I was really looking forward to watching Mans Concept Menswear proposals. I had to chance to see his previous collection in the XXI edition and it blew my mind (that collection won the Government of Catalonia National Prize for Emerging Design), so my expectations were quite big. And it wasn't disappointing at all. ''Mans House'' took us to Berlin during the 90s, after the fall of the wall, to see how boys at that time explored their recent freedom through out different artistic disciplines. The looks of the collection are rough and powerful, but delicate at the same time.

Me encantan las propuestas de Krizia Robustella. Sus colecciones son dinamita pura y la puesta en escena es la guinda del pastel. Recordar que en la pasada edición ganó el Premio Nacional de la Generalitat de Cataluña a la Mejor Colección. ''Fancy Feast'' es su propuesta para la temporada SS19, y os aseguro que Krizia sabe cómo dar una buena fiesta. Así lo demuestra con su última colección, con looks en los que no falta el brillo y los tejidos vaporosos. Todo en exceso, porque una fiesta sin excesos, no es una fiesta.
I always love Krizia Robustella's proposals. Her collections are like an earthquake and her shows are just the icing on the cake. Let me remind you that in the previous edition of the 080 she won the Government of Catalonia National Prize for the Best Collection. ''Fancy Feast'' is her proposal for the next SS19 season, and it was left clear that she knows how to throw a party. The pieces of her last collection are sparkling and full of filmy fabrics. Excess is the word. But a party with no excess, it's not a real party.

Sin duda Manuel Bolaño fue uno de los diseñadores más esperados de esta edición, y la verdad es que se le echaba de menos en la 080. Eso sí, no defraudó en absoluto. He de reconocer que es de mis diseñadores favoritos. La puesta en escena fue increíble, con distintos focos y fotógrafos distribuidos a lo largo de la pasarela y que inmortalizaban a las modelos con sus cámaras a medida que pasaban. Su ''Plan B'' nos permitió disfrutar del pasado, presente y futuro del Atelier Bolaño, donde el color negro fue el auténtico protagonista de unas prendas que ponen de manifiesto el saber hacer de este gran diseñador.
There is no doubt that Manuel Bolaño was one of the most expected designers of this edition. Truth be told, everyone missed him at the 080. And he did it beyond great last week. I also have to admit that he's one of my favorite designers. His show was amazing, with several flashlights and photographers distributed all over the rainbow to take pictures of the models as they passed by. His ''Plan B'' let us to enjoy the past, present, and future of the Atelier Bolaño, where black was the main protagonist of most of the pieces, all of them a clear proof of how great he is as a designer.
