Este año creo que me he portado bastante bien, así que espero que no sea muy tarde para escribiros la carta. A lo mejor me excedo un poquito con la lista de cosas que os piso, pero sois tres, así que estoy seguro de que os las podréis apañar. De todas formas, y para que veáis lo conformista que soy, con que me traigáis solo una de las cosas que os pido me daré por satisfecho!

Así que vamos al lío. Este año no quiero juguetes, solo quiero ropa. Como bien sabéis soy muy organizado, así que os lo pondré todo bien detallado, con sus precios y dónde lo podéis conseguir. Hay de todo, para que escojáis libremente. Sois magos, así que espero que dejéis el listón bien alto:

080 Barcelona Fashion FW 18/19

¿Tenéis algo que hacer del 29 de enero al 2 de febrero? ¿No? Pues no os preocupéis, que yo os propongo un plan que os puede interesar (y mucho), ya que esa es la fecha escogida para la 21 edición de la 080 Barcelona Fashion, que esta vez tendrá lugar en el Recinto Modernista de San Pau (fue también el lugar elegido para su celebración en verano de 2017). Durante estos cinco días, 32 diseñadores y marcas catalanes expondrán sus propuestas para la temporada FW 18/19.

What do you have to do between 29th January and 2nd February? No plans already? Don't worry 'cause I've got a plan that might interest you (a lot), as this is the date in which the 21st edition of the 080 Barcelona Fashion is taking place. The location is the Recinto Modernista de San Pau, where the past summer edition also took place. During those five days, 32 Catalonian designers and brands are going to exhibit their proposals for the next FW 18/19 season.

La 080 cada vez está ganando más peso y sus participantes consiguen cada vez más proyección internacional. Los 32 diseñadores y marcas, tanto emergentes como consolidados, que participarán en esta edición son: Agnés Sunyer, amt, Antonio Miro, Brain&Beast, Boboli, Custo Barcelona, Elena Estaun, Escorpion Studio Barcelona, E.S. Collection, Ester Ferrando, JinkSieminks, Jnorig, Krizia Robustella, Lebor Gabala, Little Creative Factory, LOA by Lidia Aguilera, Lola Casademunt, Mans Concept Menswear, Mietis, Miquel Suay, Miriam Ponsa, Naulover, Oscarleon, Pablo Erroz, Pilar del Campo, Punto Blanco, Sweet Matitos, Torras, Txell Miras, Verbena Atelier, Wom&Now y ZE García.

The 080 Barcelona Fashion is gaining with each edition more importance and their participants are getting more and more international projection. The 32 designers and brands, both new faces and already consolidated, that are participating in this edition are: Agnés Sunyer, amt, Antonio Miro, Brain&Beast, Boboli, Custo Barcelona, Elena Estaun, Escorpion Studio Barcelona, E.S. Collection, Ester Ferrando, JinkSieminks, Jnorig, Krizia Robustella, Lebor Gabala, Little Creative Factory, LOA by Lidia Aguilera, Lola Casademunt, Mans Concept Menswear, Mietis, Miquel Suay, Miriam Ponsa, Naulover, Oscarleon, Pablo Erroz, Pilar del Campo, Punto Blanco, Sweet Matitos, Torras, Txell Miras, Verbena Atelier, Wom&Now and ZE García.

Dentro de todas las actividades que se desarrollan durante la 080, caben destacar el Premio Nacional de la Generalitat de Catalunya al Diseño Emergente 080 Barcelona Fashion, cuyo ganador no solo se llevará 15.000€, sino que además podrá presentar colección en la siguiente edición de la 080 y parte de la colección será expuesta en el Museu Tèxtil i d'Indumentària de Catalunya; y el Premio Nacional de la Generalitat de Catalunya a la Mejor Colección FW 18/19 o SS 18, si sus colecciones se enmarcan dentro del concepto see now, buy now, y cuyo premio consiste en la participación directa en la próxima edición de la 080. En la pasada edición de verano, la ganadora al Diseño Emergente fue Mietis y a la Mejor Colección Elena Estaun.

Among all the activities that take place during the fashion week, it's worth mentioning the National Award from the Generalitat de Catalunya to the Emerging Design. The winner will be awarded with 15,000€, the opportunity to exhibit a collection in the next edition and part of the winning collection will be also exhibit at the Museu Tèxtil i d'Indumentària de Catalunya; and also the National Award from the Generalitat de Catalunya to the Best Collection FW 18/19 or SS 18, if it belongs to what's called see now, buy now. The price is a direct participation in the next 080 edition. In the past summer edition, the winners were Mietis (Emerging Design) and Elena Estaun (Best Collection).

Sacándole partido a Ámsterdam | Volumen II

Vuelvo con una segunda entrega sobre mis aventuras en Ámsterdam y qué hacer en esta maravillosa ciudad. Aunque esta vez me he ido a la afueras, concretamente a un pueblo que se llama Aalsmeerderbrug, y cuyo nombre me ha costado lo mío aprender.

Here I am again with a second chapter of my adventures in Amsterdam and some stuff to do in this incredible city. Though, this time I've traveled to the suburbs, to a town called Aaslsmeerderbrug to be more precise, and which name is really hard to remember.

Para los que no sabéis a qué me dedico, soy azafato de vuelo. Una de las bases que tiene la compañía para la que trabajo es Ámsterdam, y el hotel en el que nos alojamos, un NH muy cerca del aeropuerto, está junto a este pueblo. Me apetece hablaros de Aalsmeerderbrug porque siempre que estamos allí nos gusta coger las bicis que el hotel pone a disposición de los clientes e irnos hasta este pueblo, que está como a unos 6km del hotel. Además, a la entrada del pueblo hay una tienda de aviación (Aviation Megastore), y a los que nos dedicamos a esto siempre nos gusta acercarnos y frikear un ratito dentro de la tienda.

If you still don't know what I do for living, I'm a flight attendant. One of the bases of my company is in Amsterdam. The hotel for our lay overs is a NH really close to the airport and located in this town. I'd like to talk about Aalsmeerderbrug because everytime we're there, we like to take the bikes that the hotel allows us to rent, and thus riding to the town, which is like 6km far away from the hotel. Besides, there's also the Aviation Megastore, and for those who work in this field, we love going there too.

Aalsmeerderbrug es muy pequeño. He investigado un poquito y su población rondará los 500 habitantes. Junto a una de sus calles más comerciales se erige The Lion, un molino de grano construido a finales del siglo XVI, aún en funcionamiento, y el cual puede visitarse (dos veces a la semana) y también comprar harina producida por el propio molino.

Aalsmeerderbrug is quite small. I've been doing some reaserch and its population is around 500 hundred people. In one of its most commercial streets you can find The Lion, a grain mill built at the end of the XVI century. It still works and there're guided tours twice a week. You can also buy flour which is produced by the mill.

En realidad, más que de Aalsmeerderbrug, de lo que me apetece hablaros es de un bar bistró que se encuentra a las afueras del pueblo y que descubrí la última vez que estuve allí. Se llama Joseph ''Aan de Poel'' y es bien bonito.

Actually, it's not Aalsmeerderbrug what I want to talk about, but a bar-bistrot at the suburbs of the town and that I found out the last time I was there. Its name is Joseph ''Aan de Poel'' and it's a really nice place.

Tiene una terraza bastante amplia con unas vistas muy top situada en una especie de muelle junto al lago Westeinderplassen. Pero si el exterior es bonito, el interior tampoco se queda atrás. Solo me tomé una cerveza, pero los cócteles y los platos que salían de la cocina tenían una pintaca... Así que ya sabéis, si vais por Ámsterdam y Aalsmeerderbrug os pilla cerca, tenéis que ir!

The terrace is pretty large and the views are amazing. It's a kind of dock in the lake Westeinderplassen. But, if the outside is beautiful, the inside is pretty beautiful too. I just had a beer, but the cocktails and the food that came out of the kitchen looked amazing... So, if you go to Amsterdam and you happen to be near Aalsmeerderbrug, you gotta go!

Navidades otra vez... Y ahora qué me pongo?

Otro año está a punto de acabar. Pero no nos vamos a poner nostálgicos. Este post no es para hacer balance de lo bueno y lo malo, ni para hablar de los propósitos de año nuevo. Si eres chica y aún no sabes qué ponerte para salir en Nochebuena o Fin de Año, sigue leyendo que esto te va a interesar.
This year is about to come to its end, but there's no time to get nostalgic yet. This post isn't meant to think about the good and the bad that has happened throughout the year, neither to discuss New Year's resolutions. If you're a girl and still don't know what to wear on Christmas or New Year's Eve, just keep on reading 'cause this might interest you.

A continuación os propongo varias opciones, para todos los gustos y bolsillos. Predominan las propuestas en negro, y es que reconozco que a la hora de vestir es uno de mis colores favoritos, y si se trata para una ocasión especial, aún más. Nunca falla.
A little bit further below I give you several options, that all of you may like, and can afford. Black proposals predominate among the others. To be honest, black's one of my favorite colors in terms of clothes, above all if it's about to get dressed for a special occasion. It's always a win.

Sin duda, el gran triunfador este año es el terciopelo, aunque si no sois muy fans de ese tejido, también tenéis lentejuelas, flecos, encaje... así que ya me diréis qué opción os gusta más o si ya os habíais comprado el modelito; si pensáis repetir alguno de años anteriores; o si vuestro outfit para estas fiestas va a consistir en pijama y batamanta.
There's no doubt that velvet is the greatest winner this year, though if you're not a huge fan of this fabric, you can also choose among sequins, tassels, lace... Which one is your favorite?
