She is Madeline Stuart. She is 18 years old, she is from Australia and she is committed to becoming a model and changing the perception society has towards what is considered as sexy and beautiful. And yes, she has Down's syndrome.
She is so dedicated about chasing her dream that she has stopped eating junk food and she has followed a healthy life full of spot (with gymnastics and basketball among her favourites). And it works, as she has lost more than 40 pounds.
This is not the first time I talk in this blog about ''rare beauties'', as you can see HERE. It would be silly to deny that being a model is difficult and a competitive career, because it is indeed. It is a world where getting there is as difficult as staying at it. But beuaty canons aside, it is very beautiful to see self-improvement stories like this one, and realise that, what it seemed a disease and, consequently, and obstacle to achieve some goals, it is not indeed if you fight for it.
Girls like Madeline are the ones that get to change this world and keep us with our feet on the ground. I wish her the best, not only with her modelling career but also in every aspect of her life. And if you wish, you can follow her at:
