PONMO | Pontevedra Moda

Ya se ha acabado oficialmente el verano, pero septiembre no es solo sinónimo de otoño, sino también de moda. Entre tanto ajetreo de semanas de la moda y de tendencias para la próxima temporada primavera/verano 14, hoy os vengo a hablar de PONMO.

PONMO es, por así decirlo, la versión 2.0 de lo que hasta el año pasado era la Pontus Veteris. Pero PONMO es mucho más. Si bien es cierto que la antigua pasarela Pontus Veteris que se celebraba todos los años en Pontevedra estaba bastante obsoleta, PONMO le da un giro de 180 grados y nace con una imagen mucho más moderna y con una actitud más ambiciosa. 

En este nuevo punto de encuentro para todos aquellos a los que nos gusta la moda, los jóvenes diseñadores son los principales protagonistas. Más de setenta diseñadores de toda España han enviado sus micro-colecciones al jurado de PONMO, pero sólo 12 han sido los elegidos. De entre estos 12, el certamen MARAPONMONOVO premiará a la mejor micro-colección, que se compondrá de 6 diseños totalmente atemporales, así como también al mejor estilismo.

Pero los diseñadores experimentados también tendrán su hueco. ALALÁ, Baena, Dioxide, Gonzalo Vázquez (GV), Hipotenûsa, Nicanora y Krack mostrarán sus colecciones en la pasarela PONMO, que cerrará los desfiles con un homenaje a Gene Cabaleiro.

Pero aún hay mucho más. PONMO también organiza showrooms, workshops y actividades por toda la ciudad. Una de ellas es la exposición del fotógrafo y amigo, para el cual he tenido la suerte de posar en alguna que otra ocasión, Marcos Suárez. Su primera exposición, 'Dual', podrá verse los próximos días 26, 27 y 28 en el Liceo Casino (C/ Manuel Quiroga, 21), en Pontevedra.

Summer is officially over. However, September does not only mean fall, but also fashion. Among dozens of fashion weeks all over the world with the latest for the next S/S 14, in this post I want to introduce you to PONMO.

PONMO is, in a few words, the 2.0 version of the disappeared Pontus Veteris, with the exception that PONMO is a lot more. It is true that Pontus Veteris, which took place in Pontevedra every year, had became quite obsolete. PONMO is totally different and it is born with a more current image and a more ambicious attitude. 

Within this new meeting point for all of us that enjoy fashion, young designers are the main focus of attention. More than seventy Spanish designers have sent their micro-collections to the judges, but just 12 of them have been finally chosen. Among these 12, the MARAPONMONOVO contest will choose the best micro-collection, which will be composed of 6 totally timeless outfits. The judges will also choose the best outfit of them all.

Experienced designers will also have their chanceto. ALALÁ, Baena, Dioxide, Gonzalo Vázquez (GV), Hipotenûsa, Nicanora and Krack will show their creations at PONMO, which will close the catwalk with a tribute to Gene Cabaleiro.

But that's not all. PONMO also oofers showrooms, workshops and activities all over the city. One of them is the exhibition of the photographer and also friend of mine, for photographied me in several occasions, Marcos Suárez. His firs exhibition, 'Dual', can be seen the next 26, 27 and 28 at the Liceo Casino (C/ Manuel Quiroga, 21), in Pontevedra.

Vogue Fashion's Night Out Madrid 13

Hace unos días la capital española volvió a acoger por quinto año la noche de la moda, la Vogue Fashion's Night Out Madrid 13. Este evento, organizado por primera vez en España en el 2009, surgió como una iniciativa por parte de la revista para fomentar el consumo, pero cada año son más las firmas que participan y más los asistentes que no quieren perderse esta cita.

La carpa Vogue, centro neurálgico del evento, se instaló el pasado 12 de septiembre entre las calles Ortega y Gasset y Serrano, aunque casi 300 tiendas de los alrededores abrieron hasta medianoche ofreciendo promociones especiales.

Numerosos eventos, celebrities, modelos, diseñadores y miles de asistentes emocionados con asistir a este evento se reunieron en la gran noche de la moda, una noche que se celebra ya en 19 países: Alemania, Australia, Brasil, China, Corea, España, Inglaterra, Holanda, India, Italia, Japón, México, Portugal, Rusia, Tailandia, Taiwán, Turquía, Ucrania y EEUU.

Some days ago, the capital of Spain celebrated its fifth fashion night, the Vogue Fashion's Night Out Madrid 13. This event, which was first organized in Spain in 2009, emerged as a Vogue's initiative to promote consumption, and each year more shops participate and more people attend.

Vogue carp was placed between Ortega y Gasset Stree and Serrano Street on the 12th September, and almost 300 shops were open until midnight with special special offers.

Many events, celebrities, models, designers and thousands of excited people attend to this event at the great fashion night, a night that is being celebrated in 19 countries: Germany, Australia, Brasil, China, Korea, Spain, UK, Holnad, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Portugal, Russia, Thailand, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine and USA.

New York Fashion Week | #MBFW

Este mes ha tenido lugar otra de las grandes citas de la moda a nivel internacional: la New York Fashion Week, en la que pudimos ver las propuestas de más de 30 diseñadores para próxima temporada primavera-verano 2014.

La NYFW, formalmente conocida como Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week desde el 2009, fue la primera semana de la moda que se organizó a nivel mundial, en 1943. Eleanor Lambert organizó esta primera edición a la que llamó ''Press Week'' (Semana de la Prensa), ya que el propósito era que los diseñadores americanos mostraran sus colecciones a los periodistas del mundo de la moda.

Esta segunda cita anual del 2013 tuvo lugar entre los días 5 y 12 de septiembre, y en ella pudieron verse los diseños de Carolina Herrera, DKNY, Delpozo, de la Renta, Vera Wang, Marc Jacobs, Victoria Beckham y Lacoste, entre otros.

One of the biggest international fashion events has taken place this month: the New York Fashion Week. More than 30 designers have shown their proposals for the next spring-summer 14 season.

The NYFW, formally known as Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week since 2009, was the first organised fashion week in the world, in 1943. Eleanor Lambert created this first edition. She called it ''Press Week'', as its main purpose was to show to show to fashion journalists what American designers could do.

This second annual edition of 2013 took place between the 5 and the 12 of September. Some of the designs that walked through the catwalk were those of Carolina Herrera, DKNY, Delpozo, de la Renta, Vera Wang, Marc Jacobs, Victoria Beckham and Lacoste, among others.
